Whose Frame Is It?

Hugh Anthony

Certified Lifestyle Speaker · Author · Lifestyle Coach

You are the embodiment of love, so why do you allow others to confuse it with lust.

You were born affirmed, yet you go around seeking validation.

You were born to be and do extraordinary things, yet you embrace ordinary.

You are powerful beyond measure, yet you play small.

You are destined to live in abundance, yet you keep talking about lack.

You know faith make things possible, but you use fear to make it impossible.
Let me ask you this question? Are you doing just fine living someone else’s lie of who you should be?….Stop!

Their construct of you is not the consciousness of your being.

Stop living in the shadows of others insecurity.

Stop allowing people to project their fears on you.

Shift your mindset and move in the frame of faith.

Take bold steps and walk away from frail insecurities and start curating possibilities.

When last did you take yourself out?

Why are you waiting on someone else to do for you, what you ought to be doing for self.

Shape up, shift yourself away from people’s frame of fear, insecurity and selfishness.

Start living in the frame of love and not in the shadows of insecurity.

Embrace faith and the energy of hope will be yours.

You were born to blaze new trails not walk in someone else’s pathway.

You are destined to be strong, not just to struggle.

You are an original work of art, stop being someone’s carbon copy.

Embrace your truth, not someone’s misconception of you.

Let truth, love and courage be your guide.

You have nothing to prove, but everything, everything to gain.

Go boldly, let your frame be filled with faith, your originality, your story and let that frame your destiny.

Canada: Pathways to Creating and Curating a Mosaic that Honours our Greatness

hugh anthony, certified lifestyle speaker · author · lifestyle coach

I am honored to live in this amazing place, with its undulating landscape, beautiful sights, sounds, and sceneries. Through the mosaic of our diversity, I have learnt to see this land through its ancestral and contemporary beauty. By honoring its indigenous peoples who have protected and shared their home and native land,  that I now call home – Canada.

The voices and languages make this land a multicultural kaleidoscope of color, hues, views and a muse for the beauty of mother nature. We have a duty to honor the first inhabitants, protectors, settlers and newcomers not just through patriot love, but through agape love that honors the dignity and essence of their beings.

We have an opportunity to celebrate,  share stories and our histories with generations of people from east to west, and north to south with arms wide open. We share in a sacred journey called life; through the triumphs, the challenges, the pain, the joys and the gains of each individual. Our diversity is our strength, our voices when understood and honored are our hope; that gives fuel to collective action to engender a more kinder, gentler and stronger Canada.

While we celebrate this significant milestone, it is a moment for reflection and introspection. To nurture a Canada that is not just a beacon of hope to the world, but also to its people who inhabit the land and call Canada home. My hope is that respect, equity, social justice, freedom, tolerance, and openness be seen through the eyes of all us, not just some of us. As we celebrate how far we have come, we honor the sacrifices of those who have helped to create this beautiful mosaic and country we now embrace as Canada.

Stephen Marche in his opinion piece in The New York Times espoused that Canada sesquicentennial emerged from a “document that bound a loose collection of provinces controlled by the British Empire into a vague and discontented unit with the slightest consideration of or participation by the First Peoples,” provides a context for us to create a pathway to acknowledge, that while we may not have gotten it right, we can work towards doing the right thing going forward. Furthermore, while Stephen Marche noted “it doesn’t seem ideal, or even accurate, as an origin……native people were here for thousands of years before that”, I believe in this beautiful experiment titled ‘Canada’. It has emboldened my commitment to values that honors generosity, prosperity and protection of our freedoms; and the knowledge that our differences will continue to inspire our diversity and foster compassion, love, and unity. The true North being strong and free, at its core will honor our dignity, foster our determination, fuel our dreams and give hope to us as a people. These celebrations, protests, and criticisms [constructive] ought to awaken our collective consciousness to create pathways that protect, preserves and honors the promises of our inalienable rights to be respected, celebrated, feel triumphant, glorious and free from fear, oppression, discrimination, isolation and foster true inclusion.

Our contributions over the next 150+ years are to create and curate a Canada, that embraces the virtues and values that uphold the ideals, glories and triumphs of a core vision that at the heart of it, truly honors the land, its people, our differences and our possibilities for greatness.

A Tribute of Love, Life and Legacy to Michael Jackson – The Gloved Wonder · King of Pop · The Legend · The Artist

hugh anthony, certified lifestyle speaker · author · lifestyle coach
Today marks eight years since you left us…

Your legacy and music continues to inspire a generation, as it did mine. Your message and your music is an expression of your passion for humanity and the manifestation of your God-given purpose. You shared with us how to live our lives ‘Off The Wall’ and ‘Get on the Floor’ and ‘Dont Stop Till You Get Enough’  while we ‘Rock With You’ even though it was for ‘One Day In Your Life’. I know that ‘Girlfriend’ was your special person and your admiration for her led us to believe you when you said ‘The Girl is Mine’. We knew you were on to a good thing, then finally you admitted to us that ‘She’s Out of My Life’.

Interestingly, you met ‘Billie Jean’ and I got the feeling you had to be careful about who you love, hence you ‘Beat It’ and figured out you ‘Wanna Start Something’ new with a ‘Pretty Young Thing’ because you felt it was the perfect time.

Your life was a curated scene like a passerby on the street, as you had an understanding of your ‘Human Nature’ and how life can evolve into epic scenes that becomes a ‘Thriller’; with powerful narratives and iconic scenes, that ascended your creative gift into a transcendental sphere.

Oh how I am reminded by you, that love is the answer and heaven is in your heart when you said ‘I Just Cant Stop Loving You’ because it is a love that is so true and it is ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’.

Life showed you love and it did have its share of ‘Bad’ moments, even though you had a strong belief in ‘Human Nature’. Love inspired you to take a look at ‘The Man in the Mirror’. There and then you realized that love can’t be masqueraded. You had no choice but to express how you felt and socked it to her in ‘Dirty Diana’. They made you felt like you were a ‘Smooth Criminal’ for your honesty. Love is not just a group thing,  it is as individual as you are and its ‘Another Part of Me’ that you shared with the world. They did not understand love even when you Moonwalked into our lives and said let us ‘Come Together’. Hence, you told those who did not understand to ‘Leave Me Alone’ and continued living despite the pain. You found happiness and empowerment in the ‘Liberian Girl’ and inspired a new kind of love, one that did not matter, whether you were ‘Black or White’. That reminded us to ‘Remember the Time’ being youthful and in love. Understanding that love is a feeling and you on fire, although it is unrequited love, it was always with you, hence you asked the woman to talk to you and ‘Give In To Me’.

With open affection  not being reciprocated you went ‘Into The Closet’ to conceal your relationship. However, you came out with a bang and moving to ‘Jam’ with unbridled enthusiasm and joy. You knew that there was something about that girl in your intro you said “She Drives You Wild’ and enquired ‘Who Is It’.

You asked her to hold you, carry you like a brother and love you like a mother in ‘Will You Be There’, but they misunderstood and thought you wanted to be controlled. You just wanted to be assured that they cared, they would hold you up when you are lonely sometimes and would be their in your “anguish, your pain, through your joy and sorrow; and in the promise of another tomorrow.”

You displayed compassion, love, kindness and hope with your friends in ‘We Are The World’ because we needed to understand there will be moments in our lives we’ll say ‘Gone Too Soon’ and ‘Cry’ for their is no hope and you can’t do it alone. You also ‘Scream’ at the world for being mean and unfair to your anguish and pain. And questioned why is there no beauty in the world like our ‘Childhood’

Amidst the happenings in your life you knew that ‘You Are Not Alone’ even though you felt isolated during the difficulties. You appealed to a place in our hearts that is love, to make the world a better place for you, and for me, and the entire human race in ‘Heal The World’.  By raising a social consciousness that we have a duty to take care of the Mother Earth and all her inhabitants with ‘Earth Song’. It was your rallying cry to halt the wars, the killing of animals and the destruction of her habitats.

You realized that ethnic minorities, indigenous peoples, non-white kids and poor people are inhumanely treated and you riotously expressed it through ‘They Don’t Really Care About Us’. In your own lived experience while on your Dangerous World Tour you felt like a Stranger in Moscow’, isolated and disconnected from the world you loved. You asked “How does it feel when you are alone and you cold inside?”  You felt like a plot to kill you was on hand in ‘Blood On The Dance Floor’, hence you felt like you were a ‘Ghost‘ even though you shared your story with your album ‘HIStory’.

You felt ‘ Invincible’ because no one took the time to know and understand who you were. The essence of your being is love, being in love and experiencing the joy and affection, even it meant risking your life. You told that girl‘You Rocked My World’  who you’ve been searching for all your life.

You gave the best of you, even when the going got tough, you never lost faith in humanity and asked for ‘One More Chance’. You appealed to the best that is in all of us – love – and that “this time you are gonna do your best to make it right…..you cant go on without you by my side. Come an rescue you out of this storm and cold…..”

With your amazing remix of ‘The Girl Is Mine’  it brought joy, fun and excitement to your life. You made the appeal amidst the happenings you remixed ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Something’ with your new lease on life. Knowing “that life don’t last forever” and you knew you had to forgive and move on. Hence, you shared with Akon and our beautiful world ‘Hold My Hand’ appealing to humanity that we need to support each other and it will get better between us..“if you just hold my hand”.

You believed when no else did that women had a chance to be the best in ‘Hollywood Tonight’ and must be given that one chance to make a difference. You believed in the power of people being their best and that love is and will always be with us, even when we are masked. You never stopped searching for the beauty in love and asking in ‘Behind The Mask’ “Who do you love.. Is it me?”

Through the thick and thin of your life, you never wavered in your commitment to love and you gave to the world a ‘Love That Never Felt So Good’ and for the rest of my days I will be forever grateful for your talents, creativity and passion.

The honour and beauty you shared with humanity have left an indelible mark.  We came to understand that with your death ‘This Is It’ – a void. However, you gave us a ‘Slave To The Rhythm’. While we celebrate your memory in life…even though you are in  ‘A Place With No Name’ your name Michael is etched in our hearts and minds forever. The annals of history is better because even in death your legacy lives on.

We love you Michael.

A Tribute to My Father

Happy Father's Day

hugh anthony, certified lifestyle speaker · author · lifestyle coach

You are the first hero I have known, the epitome of strength, courage and love. You are the embodiment of caring and sharing, through your display of affection for mom, your children and others. You showed that you cared through the joys you brought with your selfless acts of kindness and the laughter you shared just living.

Your examples of patience, understanding and inspiration provided assurance when I felt that my voice wasn’t understood. Your arms was always wide open for us to run to, providing protection, reassurance, love; and the knowing that everything was going to be alright.

Your guidance, encouragement and diligence to duty to care for your family are the epitome of respect for life, nature and humankind. Your kindness knew no boundaries, your exemplary acts of selflessness allowed you to persevere against all odds.

You believed in my potential for greatness and to be the best at all times. You taught me that, not by telling me how to live, but by watching how you lived.

You were there when the going got tough, but you showed me how to keep going even though it was rough. That is resilience and for that, I am ever so grateful.

You may not be here, but your spirit continues to be a guiding light: a precious gift of love and abiding trust. Thanks for being my best friend, one who cared, listened and shared, and most importantly for just being you.

You might not be here, your death does leave a heartache, a pain that no one but me can feel, however it is one that only time can heal. Your unconditional love, kindness and the joy you shared are forever etched in my memories, where time nor space can steal. Forever loving you, Happy Father’s Day Dad!

The Gift of Experience

hugh anthony, certified lifestyle speaker · author · lifestyle coach
Is there a greater gift you can give than leisure time? Is there any more important present to bestow upon yourself and the person you love than the chance to make quality time to see and experience the world, to enjoy new experiences, to interact with friends [current and new] to have their life irrevocably altered through the act of leisure time and the adventure of experience?

Are you making time for self and others to experience the beauty that is alive around you? Have you had the chance to meditate to sound of nature’s beauty, share a cup of coffee, a meal or sent a thank you card to show your appreciation? Or did you treat yourself to an ice-cream, a trip to the local market [for art & craft | fruits | antique shopping] or a trip to the art gallery, a musical, a concert, a play, the movies or a spa weekend? Or better yet, supporting a local initiative [entrepreneurial or lifestyle] in your community or travel to help make a difference?

In a study conducted by both the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School and the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management; the researchers found that “there’s been a growing body of work that suggests that from a happiness perspective, a good way to spend your money is buying experiences rather than material goods. Research finds that people are much happier and that happiness is lasting when treating themselves to a nice dinner or going on vacation or going to a concert, rather than buying the latest electronic or a piece of jewelry. That is something for everyone to keep in mind when they’re purchasing for themselves.”

The gift of experience and quality leisure time allows you to bask or relish in the moment. One of the reasons that giving yourself, others and even your clients the gift of leisure experiences, it is better because you always have that memory or help create memories [life moments] for others they can remember for long time to come.

In his article, The Power of Curiosity Tosh Kashdan cites that one of the keys to happiness is cultivating and exercising our innate curiosity. Experience is the fuel to satisfy our curiosity because it brings us more happiness than possessions do. Furthermore, curiosity helps us as human beings by bringing our minds to a state of active interest or genuinely wanting to know more about something. It creates an openness to unfamiliar experiences, laying the groundwork for greater opportunities to experience discovery, joy, and delight.

The experiences of leisure and lifestyle moments are powerful than you can ever imagine. The journal Psychological Science underscored the importance of spending money on experiences because it “provide[s] more enduring happiness.” The anticipation of an experience act as a driver of happiness and the key benefit is instantaneous, given that spending money on experience creates eustress and excitement to accrue before the actual event happens.

There are tons of reasons and more to make time for the gift of experience. It is one of the greatest things we can give ourselves and others. Life at the end of the day is a tapestry of our experiences and a mosaic of our memories. For all that life has to offer, memories matter and so do you.

Making Your Life a Living Masterpiece

hugh anthony, certified lifestyle speaker · author · lifestyle coach
Life is a series of encounters, moments, lessons, imagination and experiences. Every day you are alive, you choose to exercise your life’s energy to create brush strokes of greatness and develop mastery. The need to know you are enough and have enough is a step to changing core beliefs that lead towards mastery of your emotions and what you want to do for the world. Learn to eliminate beliefs of self-doubt, limiting fear based beliefs and perspectives that create unhappiness in your life and relationships.

“Everyday is an opportunity to create a living masterpiece.”

Dr. Michael Gervais

Today you have an opportunity to take a moment to begin to cultivate a mindset of life mastery. Take the time to slow down, listen to your breathing, and appreciate the awesomeness in every moment.

We live in a world, where instant gratification seems to trump the concept of self and otherness; you can lose yourself in not actualizing your possibilities. Life is not about making money alone, it is also about self-discovery and being of service to others. Start working on building your dream, the life you want to create and the mastery you have to share with the world. You might ask, How can I start doing this?  Here are three simple steps to explore:

  1.  Developing Mindfulness

Mindfulness helps you to focus your energies, attention, thoughts, behaviour and actions to be more self-aware. Mastering mindfulness helps you to take responsibility for our actions and allows you to develop approaches to be better vanguards of your life and purpose. How will you help find ways to create your life’s masterpiece is through being mindful about the things that matter to you. Mindfulness helps to enhance the relationship you have established with self and others, by allowing you to be present in the moment and be emotionally aware of your goals, purpose and contribution to others.

“Your life experiences all contribute to the mosaic that creates a soul stretching, empowering and transformative way of being that provides a blueprint for inspired and focused living.

Hugh Anthony

According to Mirabai Bush, mindfulness creates space to let new information in and to allow us to see how it relates to what we already know. Mindfulness, with its focus, openness, inquisitiveness, and humility, seemed like the perfect approach to help us see things with new perspectives and understanding.

  1. Developing Boundaries

The expression, ‘there is a time and place for everything under the sun’, applies to your life. Focusing on making a difference for others, doesn’t translate in the need to please everyone. It is having an understanding of the concept of self and others while learning to set boundaries for your life. Understanding that boundaries are not barriers contextually is important. It is a healthy skill that you need to develop to sustain both a great life and meaningful relationships. According to Andrea Mathews, PhD a psychotherapist, writer and a speaker in Psychology Today espouses that boundaries have to do with knowing who we are and what is possible for us to do.  They have nothing whatsoever to do with making others do anything.  The purpose is so that we can contain ourselves within the parameters of where I stop and others begin. By understanding that, boundaries help to increase your awareness, empower you to guard your energy and foster harnessing your relationships.  For your life’s work to have optimal impact, it should be guided by powerful thoughts and plans. Those that are empowering, engaging and enduring, that allow you to listen and honour self. By developing this understanding, it allows you to be present, aware and mindful about how to give your best through your time, commitment and enthusiasm for what you do, not out of obligation, but moreso out of duty to humanity.

  1. Discovering Your Lifestyle Value Proposition

What are the things you love to do and the very thought of it brings joy, vibrancy and excitement to making the world a better place? Your purpose doesn’t necessarily reflect what you are doing now or where you currently are personally, professionally or creatively. By asking yourself, I am ready to discover what I really want to do to make a difference? The next logical move is to make the change, by deciding to commit and follow through discovering your lifestyle value proposition.

Your lifestyle value proposition is your statement to the world that explains what you are offering, the benefit you provide, for whom and how you are able to do so exceptionally well. It defines who you are willing to serve, the challenges you want to solve and clearly articulate why you are uniquely positioned to provide a pathway for solutions.

According to the American Psychological Association, lifestyle changes are a process that takes time and requires support. Once you make a decision to discover the why,  the what and the how; they create pathways for exploration. If you feel overwhelmed or unable to meet your goals on your own, consider seeking help from a professional lifestyle coach.

What you create from your brush strokes in developing mastery emerges from your thoughts, perception and concept of self. Discover your power, understand that you are enough; share your expertise and mastery to make the world a better place, not just for yourself, but also for others with your work of art – life.  Be reminded that you are a work of art, appreciate that; and make time to discover the masterpiece that you are.

Ask for help with this process of discovery. Do your research and make a decision to find a lifestyle coach that will help prepare you for success. Accepting help from those who care about you and will listen, strengthens your resilience and commitment to make your life’s work brush strokes of mastery.  In developing your life’s mastery, coaching, training and mentoring will help you grow in your ability to manage self, become mindful, understand boundaries, self-awareness and your decision-making skills.  These will engender the capacity needed to shape the direction of your life and what you offer to the world. Do not keep humanity waiting for the masterpiece you have to unveil to the world.

“Today, I choose to embrace being alive, being me – wholesome- wanting of nothing, but have a life filled with everything.”
Hugh Anthony

You may be wondering, why I am posting this…Your question what is there to be excited about? Of interest, I am alive and so are you reading this right now….For that not only am I grateful.. I am excited, given that its another day, another opportunity to work on being the best version of self.

Your perspective matters in creating the life that you want – find your purpose, meaning, fulfilment and happiness.  I do encounter challenges everyday, today some will appear!! However, it is my outlook on what I encounter that will make the experience worthwhile and conquerable. My outlook about being   excited, it isn’t so much about ignoring the challenges,

It is an  attitude of openness and what lessons am I to learn, that matters. Is it a new skill, trusting the process, acceptance, checking my emotions, my mindset (+/-), or focus my efforts on actions that have personal meaning?

Being excited about everything is a choice. I encourage you to pursue your day, passion, purpose, work and your life with excitement and enthusiasm. They make life more meaningful by bringing forth possibilities, actively and purposefully. Make today a day you get excited about living, loving, laughing, exploring, discovering and creating excitement in everything you do.

Namaste!!

Four Ways to Develop a Culture of Gratitude

Gratitude-rock

hugh anthony, certified lifestyle speaker · author · lifestyle coach

We live in a world where feeling and being grateful doesn’t come naturally. Becoming aware that there is always something to be thankful for, conjures a state of thinking and then the question: what is it that I am grateful for?  I am not saying that you ought to in a perfunctory manner go make a list, just for the sake of it now. However, I would encourage you to be reflective and explore how you can cultivate a culture of gratitude.

gratitude

“Expressing gratitude instantly shifts your energy. It puts you in harmony with your source of supply, so that the good in everything moves toward you.”

–   Bob Proctor

Understanding what gratitude is helps us to ‘pay it forward’. Gratitude emerges from the simple ability to breathe and an emotional acknowledgment that you’re alive. That is one of the greatest things to be thankful for.   Positive psychology contends “that gratitude is more than feeling thankful for something; it is more like a deeper appreciation for someone (or something,) which produces more long-lasting positivity”. Let us start from there, carpe diem the act of making the most of the day and thankful for being alive. Interestingly, it is giving energy or effort to a process that requires a deep appreciation and acknowledgment of the impact and manifestation of gratitude. Our individual experiences may be different; however, gratitude allows us to experience life in meaningful ways and connects us with the possibilities within us and the world we live in.

“Today I choose gratefulness in this moment; I’m alive, happier, healthier, wiser, stronger and richer because I choose to celebrate this moment with gratitude.”

I have been living in the state of gratitude for a very long time by making a commitment to consciously cultivate an ‘attitude of gratitude’. How did I do this you might ask? It emerged from a childhood conversation I had with my beloved mother about being thankful and having good manners. In a candid and powerful way, she advised me to be thankful in all things and to cultivate good manners, noting “it will carry a far way.” In my curious and hubristic state at the time, I retorted…”but Mom, manners is not money!!” and she responded by sharing a story. The story was about a piglet who asked his mother a question: ‘why his mouth was so long? The mother pig responded by saying, “[my son] be thankful for it, you are growing, you will understand one day, that you need it to live.”  Indeed, I am grateful for that parental advice and it has affirmed goodness in my life ever since.

“Gratitude is the moral memory of [hu]mankind. If every grateful action were suddenly eliminated, society would crumble.”

–   Georg Simmel

By cultivating a culture of gratitude and good mannerism, it has allowed me to be thankful for the amazing experiences I have had in my life. They have brought happierness, wisdom, healthier and more enriched life experiences, perspectives and well-being.  You can start with the simple act or gesture of acknowledgment by saying thank you for…. your help or your time…..I appreciate what you have done for me, my family, our customers and the organization.   A research done by the University of California Berkeley titled Expanding the Science and Practice of Gratitude found that people who practice gratitude consistently reported a host of benefits ranging from being healthier, experiencing positive emotions, enriching relationships, more joy, optimism, happiness, generosity, compassion and heightened sense of community and camaraderie.

“Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.”

You cannot develop a sense of gratitude unless you acknowledge that there is something to be thankful for. Here are four ways to develop a culture of gratitude:

  • Acknowledge and Affirm Goodness – By acknowledging that you are grateful to be alive and waking up to another day is a good start. By affirming the aforementioned it fosters endless possibilities and engenders more good around you. It reinforces that you appreciate the gift of life and you are willing to make the most of the 1440 minutes in the day. Robert Emmons in his book Why Gratitude is Good, highlighted that “it’s an affirmation of goodness. We affirm that there are good things in the world, gifts and benefits we’ve received.”  When you make time to acknowledge and affirm the goodness around you, it can have an amazing impact on the quality of your life.
  •  Voicing with Meaningfulness and Intentionality – Give voice to the things you are grateful for and the goodness you experience. In so doing, you breathe life into your voice with intentionality and meaningfulness.  Psychiatrist Monisha Vasa noted that “…words or conversation can be brief, but when they come from the soul, they can be life changing.” So give voice to gratitude by expressing what you are grateful for. Sharing that you are happy, joyful and healthy or experience a challenge that hast taught you a lesson or two can bring different perspectives and outlook on life and living. By giving voice to gratitude it becomes more meaningful for yourself and others, and you will start making gratitude your mantra.

“When you practice gratefulness, there is a sense of respect toward others.”

–  Dalai Lama

  • Cultivate Good Mannerisms and Altruism – This is an understated aspect of building a culture of gratitude is your mannerisms. It tells more about you without you being vociferous. This is where your actions align with your attitude. The attitude of gratitude often speaks louder than words can say about you and the things you do. Start using attitudinal expressions ‘please’ and ‘thanks’; I appreciate you for…..I am grateful for.  Foster a spirit of altruism, by doing something for others who cannot afford to pay you back. Volunteer at a hospice, a food bank, youth camp or find ways to pay it forward.
  • Practice Gratitude Exercises – Take a leap of faith and explore activities you can do, even if it is a random act of kindness. Positive Psychology highlights that “…acts of gratitude and gratitude exercises are not only beneficial to the people receiving the praise, but even more so, to the one who performs the act.”  There are a number of activities from simply writing a thank you letter to someone, you did not get a chance to properly thank.  Start by doing a 21-day exercise of writing a gratitude list of the things you are thankful for. For example, write three things down every day for three weeks that reflects gratitude. Or better yet, start a journal on the things you acknowledge and affirm as you live, breathe and experience acts of kindness, lessons learnt from challenges, what makes you more mindful, compassionate and selfless. There is no right or wrong way to start a gratitude exercise; however noting your activities will help you become emotionally aware, mindful, become more resilient and foster well-being.

By being host to behaviors and habits that reinforce gratitude, your best self will always emerge. Start by taking simple steps and think about how they can improve your life and well-being. These steps will contribute to a life where you celebrate more about you and your experiences, those who have helped along the way; rather than focusing on complaining about your mistakes or what is not going okay.
